However, the motion of the Batpod blowing the cape behind the rider kept it free from the rear wheel.[2] During his first duel with Bane, he used the cape to decelerate his fall.[3] Gauntlets Bruce also added bronze[6] or silver[7] metal gauntlets with sturdy bronze[4] scalloped fins/spikes on the forearms, an innovation derived from his experience as a pupil of Ra's al Ghul's League of Shadows. Mainly used to block against knives or other stabbing weapons, Bruce managed to surprise Ra's by breaking the blade of his ninjatō in multiple places with the gauntlets.[1] In the new suit, the blades on the sides of the gauntlets are now retractable and are capable of firing outwards as projectiles. A quote from Christian Bale that some of the crew had on the back of their t-shirts the wardrobe department did it as a joke said "It's hot, dark, and sweaty, and it gives me a headache." Christian Bale got headaches from the cowl and would use them to get into character. He says they made him fierce and impatient. For a perfect fit, a plaster cast was made of Christian Bale, and the Batsuit was hand cut from foam latex. Christian Bale never wanted to play Batman as Bruce Wayne in a Batsuit. For him, it's a completely different character. During Batman's first appearance in the suit, crime boss Carmine "The Roman" Falcone asks "What the hell are you?", to which Batman replies "I'm Batman." In Tim Burton's Batman 1989, when Batman first appears, a villain asks "What are you?", to which Batman replies "I'm Batman." The Dark Knight[] According to Christopher Nolan, Bruce Wayne's reasons for needing a new Batsuit to be faster and more agile were, in fact, the real reasons why Nolan wanted the Batsuit to be redesigned for this movie. Christian Bale admitted he did not pack on as much muscle weight for this movie as he did for Batman Begins 2005, in part due to keeping with the new Batsuit design, which is leaner and more flexible. Christian Bale got to keep the Batman mask from the movie after filming. He wanted to keep the entire uniform, but he did not have enough room for it. Bruce Wayne wears a new Batsuit in this movie. This Batsuit was an improvement on the outfit from Batman Begins 2005, and made Christian Bale more comfortable and agile in his performance. It was constructed from two hundred unique pieces of rubber, fiberglass, metallic mesh, and nylon producing an impression of sophisticated technology, with elastic banding added for tightening the costume to fit Bale. The gauntlets had their razors made retractable and able to be fired. The suit's cowl was based on a motorcycle helmet and separated from the neck piece, allowing Bale to move his head left/right/up/down, and comes equipped with white eye lenses for when Batman turns on Bat-sonar. Bruce asks Lucius Fox for a new Batman suit with a head piece that is "easier to look around in". This is a comical reference to older Batman movies in which the actors playing Batman wore a suit that had a solid head piece covering the head, neck, and shoulders. This made it impossible for the actors to turn their heads and instead had to turn their entire torso to look at their targets. The lenses that cover Batman's eyes during the hostage rescue scene give him a look that's close to the comic and animated adaptations, where Batman's eyes are often visible in the dark, while the rest of his body is blackened out. In Batman Returns 1992, Catwoman finds a gap in Batman's armor and sticks a claw into him. In a nod to this, when describing the new armor for the Batsuit, Fox previously tells Wayne that "it'll be good against cats." Christopher Nolan initially wanted Batman's cape to form a compact backpack when riding the Batpod motorcycle due to safety concerns, as it was feared stunt performers would catch their capes in the rear tire of the fully functional Batpod prop. The Dark Knight Rises[] The Batsuit consisted of one hundred ten separate pieces. The base layer was made of a polyester mesh, utilized by the military and high-tech sports manufacturers due to its breathability and moisture-retaining properties. Mais certains fans aimeraient continuer à faire vivre le Gotham de Nolan. C’est le cas des créateurs du fan-film The Dark Knight Legacy. SPOILERS SUR TDKR Un an après la “mort” de Batman, la pègre a repris le contrôle sur Gotham. Cobblepot et ses acolytes comptent bien profiter de l’absence de la chauve-souris, mais un nouvel homme masqué fait son apparition Red Hood. Heureusement pour Gotham, il y a toujours un justicier qui parcourt ses rues… Bon, ce n’est pas du niveau de Nolan, mais le tout tient tout de même assez bien la route. Mais il y a une bonne et une mauvaise nouvelle. La bonne, c’est que ce court-métrage pourrait être le premier d’une longue série. La mauvaise, c’est qu’il faut donner des sous pour voir la suite.
